The HSMAI Foundation was established in 1983 to serve as the research and educational arm of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, and is now part of the HSMAI Global organization. Its mission has evolved to improving the body of knowledge available to all levels hospitality sales and marketing professionals.

HSMAI Adrian Awards Foundation Raffle raises money for the Foundation. This funding is used exclusively for sales and marketing research and supports student scholarships for outstanding hospitality students.
