HSMAI’s Adrian Awards Reception and Gala, February 23, 2015, is the pinnacle event to recognize inspiring best practices in sales and marketing for the hospitality industry. This multifaceted-event celebrates lifetime achievement; award-winning approaches to advertising, public relations, and digital marketing; and the teams that make it all happen. This black-tie networking extravaganza allows key constituents within the hospitality industry to connect with one another. With an anticipated crowd of nearly 1,000, it is a networking and celebratory event unlike any other.

The HSMAI Adrian Awards competition is comprised of multiple categories in three entry divisions: advertising, public relations, and web marketing. Additionally, top achievers will be considered for specialty awards: the TravelClick eMarketer of the Year and American Express Loyalty Marketing award. Winners of the second annual Leader in Sustainable Tourism Award presented in conjunction with National Geographic Traveler will also be unveiled at the Gala. Gold winners will be celebrated at the Adrian Awards Gala Dinner Reception, which is co-sponsored by HSMAI and Expedia Media Solutions, and their work will be showcased on-screen as part of the Gala opening. All winning entries are showcased in the online winner’s gallery.

HSMAI celebrates the evening's winners with additional honors presented by our Benefactors.

Expedia Media Solutions hosts the Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing in a private reception and kicks off the evening with the Gold Gallery Dinner Reception featuring the 2013 Gold Adrian Award winners.

American Express Loyalty Award

The American Express Loyalty Award is presented to the loyalty program that demonstrated creativity for the loyalty concept, clarity of outreach and sustainability of the loyalty concept beyond an advertised campaign. The American Express Loyalty Award winner will be selected from the Adrian Award entries in the Loyalty Program categories.

HSMAI and National Geographic Traveler Leader in Sustainable Tourism award

Presented in conjunction with National Geographic Traveler, the Leader in Sustainable Tourism award recognized a person, company, or community for demonstrable leadership and innovation in preserving and communicating an authentic sense of place through a wisely managed tourism program. Nominees are judged by how their efforts preserved the environmental, cultural, and historic integrity of a destination, and how the program demonstrated leadership, innovation and accomplished its goals.

TravelClick eMarketer of the Year

Presented by TravelClick, the leader in hotel ecommerce solutions, this award recognizes the best integrated eMarketing program in the hotel industry. Contenders will be judged on the strength of their web presence and booking performance driven by world-class online marketing, including website design, organic and paid search, and the latest online strategies such as social marketing and mobile booking. The winner of the eMarketer of the Year Award demonstrates superior ability to attract and convert guests through the most effective channel, the web.

Yahoo “Yodeler of the Year”

 

Presented by Yahoo, a leader in making the world’s dailyhabits inspiring and entertaining and tumblr, where millions go to find, followand share what they love. The Yodeler of the Year award recognizes thoughtleadership in online storytelling measured by the guest’s journey of web-basedinspiration, engagement, perception, and conversion. Candidates will be judgedon their storytelling strategies in content marketing, nativeadvertising, and online blogging. The winner of the Yodeler of theYear Award demonstrates best practices for online storytelling that positionthe reputation of a brand or destination as the premiere guest experience inthe travel industry.
